À 17 ans, Agnès est confrontée à la grande question : que veut-elle devenir plus tard ? Une question à laquelle tout le monde semble avoir la même réponse. Mais Agnès doute. Elle décide alors de chercher des réponses auprès de la personne la plus inattendue…
Poussière d’étoile est un projet mix média qui met en lumière les jeunes talents de l’animation montréalaise. Véritable ode à la diversité du vivant et de l’animation, ce film fait des techniques un langage expressif à part entière. En conciliant une approche expérimentale de l’animation avec une narration accessible et sensible, nous souhaitons aborder des thèmes profonds — tels que le conformisme, la quête de sens et l’identité — tout en rejoignant un large public. À la croisée du cinéma indépendant et d’un récit universel, Poussière d’étoile vise à toucher autant les amateurs d’animation alternative que le grand public, en proposant une œuvre à la fois signifiante et poétique.

THE MUSHPIT

Jimmy G. Fungus is a young mushroom stuck in the lowest pit of existence: the Mushpit, a place where everyone he loved met their demise, full of creeps, and where the light never reaches. After another night of heavy drinking in a bar, a stranger calls him out on his cowardice and the dream he gave up on, due to the loss of a dear friend and his grief. This confrontation hits jimmy deeply, triggering a trippy existential crisis where he meet his decisded friend telling him to realize his dream. Once awaken from this mental journey, Jimmy decides to leave the mushpit to pursue his dream of reaching the surface and seeing the flowers there.
The Mushpit is a multimedia animated short movie, mixing animation techniques, comedy, drama, classic narration and experimentation. The short explores the themes of grief and self realisation in an immersive universe inspired from nature and forest.

Angst grows stronger as Emily questions her purpose in a waiting room, surrounded by strangers with a similar destiny. At the sight of a teddy bear sitting alone on a chair, Emily can’t help but identify with the plushie. She dives deep into her subconscious, reliving her past and expanding into a potential future doomed to destruction. Time doesn’t wait, and the clock keeps ticking. Faced with this realization, Emily snaps out of
her dream, deeply changed. She grabs the plushie and escapes the waiting room in a hysterical demonstration of freedom. Emily will no longer wait !
The Clock is Ticking transports its audience into a collage of creative multimedia animation. This short animated film explores the passage of time.

Time and life flows unilaterally, like a river. As humans, we are all its passengers, carried away by its current. “The River” is a 2D animated film that tells the story of a man in the last moments of his life. Aboard his paper boat, we will accompany this person throughout his melancholy crossing, between beauty and horror, joy and loneliness, life and death.
